I’ve been so busy juggling three or four major projects, but this is what I want to focus on this week:
-The smocked dresses. With their jackets. I know I’m insane. This is what the bishop is looking like, hand-pleating done and pre-blocked:
-I also would like to make Apple-picking dresses for my two girls out of this lovely pinwheel fabric.
-Baby shower gifts for a friend. So far, the thought is to make big brother/little brother matching shirt/onesie.
-I want to make a Crepe dress for me. I even have the fabric. What I don’t have is the time 😉
What’s on your plate this week?
Wow- you are smocking? That is amazing…. I would have no idea where to start. Enjoyed looking thru your blog!
Hi, Erin! Thank you so much for stopping by, I found your blog the other day and loved it *so* much, I could not stop browsing through your lovely creations. I just posted about the progress on the smocked dress. It’s not finished, but it’s only missing buttons/buttonholes at this time. Yay! One down, one more to go… I used a pattern from Gail Doane’s book “Sew Cute Couture.” The bishop dress was not hard–a plus for my first smocking experience!
Thanks again for your comment. Hope you are having a nice week!
